Dr Mpho-Entle Puleng Modise is a lecturer in the Department of Curriculum and Instructional Studies, College of Education at the University of South Africa. Her research areas include student support in open distance and e-learning (ODeL), academic professional development, technology adoption, and educational technology. She also has an interest in OERs and MOOCs.
Dr Modise received her PhD in April 2022. Her thesis, “Academic professional development and support of academics for digital transformation in African large-scale open and distance education institutions”, investigated how academics are trained, developed and supported for online teaching in large-scale open and distance education (ODE) institutions in Africa and other developing countries.
